Swimathon Weekend 27 April 2012|
On 27 April 2012 Bridgefield Swimming club will be taking part in the Swimathon Weekend.
Since Swimathon began in 1986, over ½ million swimmers have raised over £36 million for charity. This year the club has decided that we would like to split our contributions and donate to two very good causes:
more information about these good causes and the swimathon can be found by following the links below:
If you do not wish to donate on line but prefer to hand your money to the club to send on could you please download and complete a Gift Aid declaration –for a single donation form from the HM Revenue & Customs Website. Before completing this form please check that you are eligible to do so.
So what are we as a club doing on 27 April to raise money? We are going to use the night as a sponsored badge night. Children will be able to swim from 25 metres to 5000 metres. All we ask is that you make a donation to one of the nominated charities.
If you wish to swim from 25 - 200 metres then you need to be on the poolside at 18.00 on the 27th. Those who want to swim the longer distances should be on the poolside at 18.30. It is important that you agree with your swimming instructor what distance you can swim and what time you need to start your swim. You cannot just turn up on the night.
Please note that there will be a normal learn to swim session on the night for those who cannot swim as far as 25 metres or do not wish to take part.
If you have any questions just email or speak to Paul Armstrong on a club night
